Departing from the Guiyang Free Trade Zone in Southwest China's Guizhou province, a Guizhou company achieved the independent export of potatoes for the first time on Oct 11, transported via highway cold chain logistics and reaching Vietnam directly.
Relying on Guizhou's abundant agricultural resources, Guizhou Wanhui International Trade Co integrates planting, processing and storage, with products exported to multiple countries and regions, including Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Netherlands, and the Middle East.
Wu Longhua, the head of the company, stated that with the support of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone and Guiyang customs, this successful export not only enhances the company's competitiveness but also offers more market options for the company's future development.
Moving forward, the company will establish a cold storage warehouse center covering an area of 200 mu (13.33 hectares) and with a storage capacity of 300,000 to 500,000 metric tons to help send more of Guizhou's agricultural products abroad.
Guiyang customs will continue to focus on supporting the development of various agricultural product enterprises, helping companies strengthen epidemic and disease monitoring and product traceability management.
In addition, the customs will help companies fully utilize the functions and policy advantages of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone, aiming to expand the companies' exports of Guizhou agricultural products.
