South China - ASEAN Dialogue on Agricultural Products Trade and Distribution Cooperation held in Guiyang

On Oct 17, the Guiyang, South China - ASEAN Dialogue on Agricultural Products Trade and Distribution Cooperation was held in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province. Over 200 guests participated in the event, including officials and business representatives from ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Malaysia, as well as leaders, experts, and scholars in the domestic logistics field.
During the event, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, the Department of Commerce of Guizhou Province, the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port Group delivered speeches. Experts, scholars, and business elites exchanged ideas to build a market information exchange platform and promote the establishment of a more stable agricultural product supply chain.
Bhavivarn Noraphallop, representative of the Consul-General of Thailand, stated that agricultural trade is directly related to the welfare and food security of all nations. She expressed hope for strengthened cooperation in enhancing supply chains, improving transportation logistics, modernizing trade rules, and developing smart agriculture.
During the signing ceremony, several companies signed cooperation agreements related to traditional Chinese medicine trade, the construction of agricultural product distribution centers, and the import and export of tropical fruits and vegetables. The successful hosting of this dialogue will help facilitate agricultural trade between China and ASEAN countries and boost the regional agricultural economy.
