Guizhou to establish friendly relations with Narino Department, Colombia

The "Implementing Global Development Initiative and Promoting Green and Low-Carbon Development" sub-forum will take place in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 8. It is part of the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2023.

At the sub-forum, Guizhou will sign a letter of intent to establish friendly relations with the town of Narino in the Narino Department, Colombia. The letter of intent is expected to foster cooperation between the two regions in various fields, such as green development and digital economy.

This year marks the second anniversary of the "Global Development Initiative", which is rooted in the principles of prioritizing development, people-centered approaches, inclusivity, innovation-driven progress, harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, and action-oriented strategies.

Government officials, international organizations, foreign consulates and embassies in China, foreign governments, foreign enterprises and trade associations, central government departments, State-owned enterprises, renowned think tanks, scholars, experts, and representatives of local businesses will be invited to the sub-forum.
