The fourth national road trip and camping club conference, as part of the 18th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference, was held in the city of Xingyi, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, on April 11.
The conference was aimed at further promoting exchange and cooperation in the road trip and camping industry, discussing new trends in industry development, expanding the supply of high-quality tourism products, improving the tourism product system, and better meeting the needs of tourists.
With the continuous improvement of people's quality of life, road trips and camping have become new ways to get closer to nature. In recent years, camping has accounted for more than 70 percent of the sports industry market share.
This Spring Festival, Guiyang was selected as one of the top 10 domestic Spring Festival road trip "dark horse destinations," along with Xi'an, Hangzhou, Guilin, and other places by Chinese online travel agency Ctrip.
During the recent Qingming Festival holiday, the number of car rental orders in Guizhou on the Fliggy platform increased more than four-fold compared to the same period last year. In the future, Guizhou will optimize its development environment to promote the deep integration of road trips and camping with other industries and improve the consumption experience and service quality of road trips.
At the conference, Liu Hanqi, supervisory chairman of the China Tourism Automobile and Cruise Association, introduced several national road trip routes. Among them, a five to six-day route showcasing Guizhou's natural beauty is the most popular among tourists.
This route runs through the central and southern parts of Guizhou, showcasing Guizhou's pristine natural environment, World Natural Heritage Sites, and colorful ethnic customs. In addition, six Guizhou road trip ring routes and five Qianxinan road trip routes were also announced at the conference.
