Guizhou unveils agenda for upcoming provincial two sessions

Preparations for the Guizhou provincial two sessions have been completed, and the schedule has been released, according to an announcement at a news conference on Jan 16 in Guiyang.

The third plenary of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress will be held in Guiyang from Jan 19 to 23. There will be 588 deputies and about 1,100 attendees without voting rights in attendance.

The deputies will listen to and review the Guizhou Provincial Government's work report, review and approve Guizhou's executive condition for the 2024 national economic and social development plan, report on Guizhou's 2025 national economic and social development draft plan, and approve Guizhou's 2025 national economic and social development plan.

The deputies will review Guizhou's 2024 budget performance and report on its 2025 drafted budget, approve Guizhou's 2025 budget, and review the proposal submitted by the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress regarding the deliberation of the rules of procedure for the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress (draft amendment). They will also review work reports of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, the Guizhou Provincial Higher People's Court, and the Guizhou Provincial People's Procuratorate and hold an election.

The third plenary of the 13th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Guizhou Committee will be held in Guiyang from Jan 18 to 22. There will be 587 members and 210 people without voting rights in attendance.

CPPCC members will review the work reports of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC Guizhou Committee and the work report of proposals submitted since the second plenary of the 13th CPPCC Guizhou Committee.

They will conduct a by-election of members of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC Guizhou Committee, review the resolution of the third plenary of the 13th CPPCC Guizhou Committee, and approve the review report of proposals submitted at the third plenary of the 13th CPPCC Guizhou Committee.

They will also attend the third plenary of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress to discuss reports, including the Guizhou Provincial Government's work report.
