17th Guizhou Tea Industry Expo to kick off in Zunyi

The 17th Guizhou Tea Industry Expo will open on April 18 in Meitan county, Zunyi, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

This year's expo will feature an opening ceremony and two parallel activities. It will commence at 9 am at Meitan's China Tea City Square. Highlights will include the release of group standards, such as the Basic Requirements of Guizhou's New Tea Beverage Raw Material and the announcement of the National New Tea Beverage Supply Chain Center Strategic Plan (Zunyi).

It will also include the establishment ceremony of the Zunyi New Tea Beverage Alliance, investment promotion and signing ceremonies, and an oath-taking ceremony for Guizhou's commitment to banning illegal pesticides and upholding tea quality safety standards. After the opening ceremony, officials and guests will tour the exhibitions at China Tea City.

One of the two parallel activities, the "China Tea City—A Never-Ending Tea Expo" series‌, will focus on production-marketing integration and product promotion. It will integrate tea culture, tea industry, and tea technology to create a platform for enterprises to showcase and market their products.

The other activity, the "China Tea Sea—Shier Shichen" series‌, combines tea, culture, and tourism. It will highlight tea garden landscapes, tea ecology, and experiential activities to boost consumption and experience.
