As the 2025 Miao Sisters Festival in Southwest China's Guizhou province draws nearer, the festive atmosphere in Taijiang county is growing vibrant. This year's Sisters Festival, scheduled from April 11 to 19, will feature various exciting activities, including an opening ceremony, a grand procession of thousands in traditional attire, and a Miao embroidery skills competition.

Embroidery shops along Zimei Street in Taijiang have been bustling with orders. Miao embroidery, a distinctive traditional craft of the county, has long been a tourist favorite. With the rising popularity of the Sisters Festival, demand has continued to climb steadily. The recent influx of orders has embroiderers working overtime, significantly boosting their income.

The hospitality and catering industries have also entered "festival mode" ahead of schedule. Hotels and restaurants across the county report overwhelming reservations, with many rooms and dining slots fully booked well in advance.

Owners of specialty eateries have crafted special festival menus and hired additional staff members to offer visitors the most authentic Miao cuisine and top-tier services.

Taijiang has transformed the Miao Sisters Festival from a standalone folk custom event into a comprehensive cultural tourism brand. Now, with full enthusiasm and meticulous preparation, the county is ready to welcome guests from all corners of the country.
