The 17th Guizhou Tea Industry Expo opened on April 18 in Meitan county, Zunyi, in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The opening ceremony announced new standards and plans for innovative tea beverages. Tea farmers, enterprises, and government representatives took oaths of commitment to tea quality and safety.
Investment promotion for Guizhou's tea industry and tea tourism integration were also held. The "new tea beverage industry alliance" involving Meitan, Fenggang, Zheng'an, and Yuqing counties was established, and the Alliance Agreement for New Tea Beverage Industry was announced.
Results were announced for the Second Guizhou New Tea Beverage Skills Competition and the 2025 Spring Tea Competition. Awards were presented to winners in the black tea category of the spring tea competition, top performers from the skills competition, and recipients of the "Spring in Guizhou" Chahai photography competition.
This nationally influential tea industry exhibition has been held for 17 consecutive years. It serves as a platform for tea professionals and enterprises to exchange ideas and foster collaboration. It also highlights the integration of tradition and innovation to explore fresh pathways for tea industry development.
The expo showcased the quality of Guizhou's "clean tea" through online and offline events, interactions between the main venue and parallel venues, and collaborations between innovative tea beverages and traditional premium teas.
