The top 20 teams of the Guizhou Village Super League kicked off at the Cunchao Stadium in Rongjiang county, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 19.

Despite heavy rain dampening the occasion, it failed to dampen the enthusiasm of either the players or spectators, as the venue remained packed and electrifying.

After three months of intense competition and 265 matches, 20 village-level teams emerged from a pool of 108. The opening match saw a clash between Dangxiang village (last year's champions) and Bailie village (a rising dark horse) in Group A, instantly capturing the spotlight.

Dangxiang village triumphed with a resounding 6:0 victory.

The top 20 teams are now divided into Groups A and B, progressing through round-robin and knockout stages until the final champion is crowned. The entire event is expected to culminate in late July.
