Guizhou unveiled 1,000 cultural and tourism investment projects, attracting over 40 leading Yangtze River Delta enterprises during the Guizhou Culture and Tourism Industry Investment Promotion Conference for the Yangtze River Delta region on April 22 in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.
Guizhou presented investment opportunities across eight key areas, such as smart tourism, nighttime economy, and scenic area development. The projects also covered high-quality real estate initiatives aimed at establishing Guizhou as a premier tourist destination.
Participating entrepreneurs highlighted Guizhou's unique advantages in climate, natural environment, and ethnic culture, emphasizing that now is the ideal time to collaborate on cultural and tourism projects.
In recent years, Guizhou has accelerated the development of world-class tourist attractions, including efforts to create national 5A-level scenic areas and turn Guiyang, Zunyi, Anshun, and Xingyi into first-class tourist cities. In 2024, the province welcomed 1.42 billion visits, a 10.4 percent year-on-year increase, and generated 1.8 trillion yuan ($246.61 billion) in tourism revenue, up 13.3 percent.
By integrating cultural tourism with industries like baijiu, agriculture, and sports, Guizhou is creating distinctive and immersive experiences to transform its resource advantages into economic growth.
Since 2021, Guizhou has attracted 1,769 tourism projects, including 51 scenic area development and operation projects, 3 percent of the provincial total, with many funded by Yangtze River Delta entrepreneurs.
