The 2025 Guizhou-Macao Cultural Tourism Meeting and Product Launch Event were held in Macao on April 24. Government representatives, cultural tourism enterprises, business associations, and media guests were invited to engage in in-depth discussions on resource complementarity, product innovation, and collaborative market development.
In 2024, Southwest China's Guizhou province attracted 702 million visits with its world-class karst landscapes, five UNESCO World Heritage sites, and events like the "Village Basket Association" and "Village Super League".
With 14 air routes from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, Guizhou aims to expand inbound tourism from Hong Kong and Macao, streamline payment systems, and invite Macao investors to collaborate on emerging sectors like the summer retreat economy and bridge tourism.
During the promotional session, culture and tourism bureaus from Zunyi city, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, and Guiyang city highlighted new products, experiences, and business formats.
Culture and tourism enterprises from both regions signed strategic cooperation agreements, expressing plans to integrate Guizhou's ecological resources with Macao's international platforms to develop cross-regional tourism products, deepen industrial collaboration, expand domestic and international markets, and elevate the value of culture and tourism resources in both regions.
