The Jinjiang River in Bijiang district, Tongren, Southwest China's Guizhou province, came alive with a spectacular dragon boat parade on May 25, as hundreds of vessels, including ornate barges, traditional dragon boats, and Wupeng boats, gathered for a performance to welcome the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival.
Amid churning water, splashing waves, thunderous drumbeats, and roaring crowds, the event showcased Guizhou's vibrant cultural heritage.
Bijiang district boasts a long history of dragon boat racing. This year's China Traditional Dragon Boat Championship (Guizhou·Tongren·Bijiang) is scheduled from May 30 to 31 at the Daming Biancheng Dragon Boat Base.
