"Guizhou Week" will take place from June 5 to 7 at the China Pavilion of the 2025 Osaka World Expo in Japan, marking the debut of Southwest China's Guizhou province as a government-organized delegation.
The 2025 Osaka World Expo is underway from April 13 to Oct 13 at Yumeshima Expo Park in Osaka, with participation from 158 countries and regions, as well as seven international organizations. The China Pavilion, covering approximately 3,500 square meters, is one of the largest self-built pavilions at the expo.
The opening ceremony of "Guizhou Week" will be held on the morning of June 5 at the China Pavilion. Over 100 guests, including representatives from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Chinese Consulate General in Osaka, local Japanese government officials, and major national pavilions, are expected to attend.
Guizhou will host an economic, trade, culture, and tourism promotion conference to deepen exchanges with Japan and seek practical collaborative opportunities.
Local specialties will be featured throughout "Guizhou Week". This includes Guizhou baijiu, cuisine, tea, and intangible cultural heritage skills such as silver craftsmanship and Miao ethnic tin embroidery.
Performances, including ethnic fashion shows, singing, and dancing, will offer immersive experiences. Through exhibitions, cultural displays, and promotional events, "Guizhou Week" will highlight the province's latest advancements in economy, culture, tourism, technology, and transportation.
