Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025 to kick off in July

The Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025 will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from July 5 to 6.

As China's only national forum dedicated to ecological civilization, it has successfully convened 12 times since its inception. This year's forum will feature an opening ceremony, thematic forums, off-site visits, promotional exhibitions, investment promotion, launches of new eco-friendly technologies and products, and activities for the guest province. Approximately 800 guests are expected to attend.

The forum addresses global concerns regarding ecological civilization, advances the dissemination and practical exploration of sustainability concepts, and deepens exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with the international community.

This year's session will strengthen practical cooperation in climate change response and biodiversity conservation, actively engaging with key international conferences such as the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity and COP29.

It will drive green collaboration through innovative ideas and concrete actions, exploring new models of eco-prioritized and low-carbon development.

The forum will engage global policymakers, business leaders, and academics to strengthen dialogue on biodiversity conservation, climate action, and collaborative governance.

It will also deepen collaborative concepts, enhance institutional leadership, and build capacities, advance the implementation of global initiatives, share green development achievements across the Global South, explore new pathways for South-South cooperation, and provide fresh opportunities, ideas, and impetus for global sustainable development, reinforcing the vision of a shared future for humanity.
