The China-India Joint Medical Mission VII was launched on June 9 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. Over 40 attendees, including team members and Indian students studying in China, participated in the launching ceremony.

Initiated in 2008 by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-India Friendship Association, the joint medical mission has completed six editions to date.

Over 100 outstanding doctors from both countries have participated, bringing medical services to remote regions across China and India, and benefiting thousands of residents.

Mission VII consists of 11 Indian doctors and 11 medical professionals from the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University who will travel to Shibing county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, to conduct free medical consultations and donate medicines.

They will also visit Guizhou's healthcare institutions, universities of traditional Chinese medicine, Miao ethnic medicine museums, and telemedicine companies to exchange insights on public health and medical services.

Mu Qiong, head of the Chinese medical team, expressed eagerness to collaborate with Indian experts to relieve patients' suffering and establish long-term cooperation mechanisms in telemedicine and talent development.
