The 2025 Miao Dragon Canoe Festival took place from June 19 to 22 in Taijiang county, Southwest China's Guizhou province, centered in Shidong town and Laotun township.

This centuries-old festival, held annually from the 24th to the 27th of the fifth month of the lunar calendar, is deeply rooted in Taijiang and Shibing counties and was inscribed on China's National Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) list in 2008.

Beyond traditional dragon canoe races, this year's edition featured the "Passionate Taijiang –Village Basketball Association on Water" challenge and hands-on Miao ICH craft experiences, showcasing Miao charm while boosting cultural and tourism integration.
