The 2025 Promotion and Exchange Meeting of Guizhou Connecting Travel Products with 240-hour Visa-Free Transit concluded in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 24.
This meeting attracted 50 travel agents from countries and regions such as South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. Jointly organized with Macao Air, the Guizhou-Hong Kong-Macao Tourism Alliance, and Guizhou's culture and tourism enterprises, it explored new opportunities for international tourism cooperation.
Since its launch, Macao Air's Guiyang-Macao route has operated hundreds of flights and transported tens of thousands of passengers, serving as a vital route connecting the two regions. Relying on Macao International Airport, the route has established a transit network covering over 10 international destinations.
Moving forward, Guizhou will deepen innovative "aviation + cultural tourism" collaboration with the Guizhou-Hong Kong-Macao Tourism Alliance and Macao Air to develop premium multi-destination itineraries.
These will integrate Guizhou's natural landscapes with the cultural heritage of Hong Kong and Macao, utilize the international flight networks of Hong Kong and Macao to attract tourists from the Greater Bay Area and globally, and promote cross-regional cultural exchanges.
With Macao Air's dense Asian flight network and the transit advantages of Hong Kong and Macao, Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism encourages travel agencies to develop cross-border routes through its "attracting visitors to Guizhou" incentive policy.
Next, the 50 travel agents will carry out in-depth inspections of routes in Guiyang, Zunyi, Anshun, and other locations, laying a practical foundation for developing premium "visa free + joint travel" tourism products.
