Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has once again been ranked as a second-tier city in the newly released "Rankings of Cities' Attractiveness in China 2025", marking its 10th consecutive year on the list.

Industrial growth powers the economy
In 2024, Guiyang's industrial output of industries above the designated size rose by 9.7 percent, with industry contributing 31.1 percent to GDP growth – making it the main driver of economic development in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area.
High-tech momentum builds
Guiyang and Gui'an's computing power reached 53.12 EFLOPS, making them a national leader in domestically developed AI computing. The booming low-altitude economy is also gaining speed, with contracts worth over 10 billion yuan signed to develop this emerging sector.
Fastest population growth in China
Guiyang's population grew by 199,600 in 2024 – the highest increase nationwide. The city was also named one of China's Top 50 Talent-Friendly Cities and Top 50 Cities for Talent Development.
Tourism reaches new heights
Guiyang welcomed 34.3 million overnight visits and 190,000 inbound visits in 2024, with an average tourist spending hitting 1,326 yuan, all setting new records across the board.
