A series of high-profile events during the 2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, held from July 24 to 27 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, focused on education internationalization, enterprise-university-research integration, and teacher exchanges.
Universities, enterprises, and research institutions from China and abroad gathered to advance in-depth collaborations in education, technology, and talent development through contract signings, alliance launches, and base inaugurations.
Through the cooperation week, Guizhou has established seven overseas educational institutions in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Central America, initiated 19 overseas cooperation projects, and had five vocational colleges selected for the "China-ASEAN Top 100 Vocational Schools Partnership Program".
The 2025 International Conference on Enterprise-University-Research-Application Cooperation (Guizhou) was also held during the cooperation week. Centering on cutting-edge fields like digital intelligence technology and new energy materials, it drew nearly 300 representatives from Chinese and international universities, enterprises, and research institutions to discuss collaborations.
Guizhou University and Guizhou University of Finance and Economics signed seven cooperation agreements with institutions, including the China-UK Eco-City and Sustainable Development Research Centre at Cardiff University (UK) and the University of Economics and Finance in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), covering initiatives such as joint postgraduate training bases.
From launching globally recognized vocational education brands and deepening enterprise-university-research-application integration to fostering international teacher development, the 2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week continued to strengthen educational bonds between China, ASEAN, and the world through collaborative activities.
