The F1 Sim Racing China Open 2025 will be held from Aug 27 to 30 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, as part of the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2025.
This year's event will feature the FAN GP Public Challenge and ELITE CUP tournament, catering to offline enthusiasts and online competitors, respectively. The innovative digital track allows racers to strategize and train virtually, while immersive scenarios lower participation barriers, showcasing digital sports' revolutionary influence on traditional competition. Top performers from both categories will advance to the MetaSVS Grand Final.
Online qualifiers concluded on Aug 17, with the top 10 teams to race at Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Center. The champion will win 20,000 yuan ($2,796), with runners-up earning 10,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan, respectively.
The Flying Lap Challenge will also be open to all participants. Those who are interested can queue up on-site to drive a virtual F1 car on tracks like the Shanghai International Circuit. A lap speed leaderboard will be displayed, with the top five racers earning exclusive prizes each day.
This event marks Guiyang's first collaboration with F1 Sim Racing. It is expected to offer immersive experiences for local fans, boost Guiyang's digital sports sector, and channel F1's cutting-edge tech and global expertise to empower Guiyang's infrastructure.
