Ancient town glows with seasonal three-color effect

As autumn arrives, the hillsides around Zhenyuan Ancient Town in Guizhou province are blanketed with golden rain trees at peak bloom.

Bright yellow blossoms and flame-red fruits light up groupings of trees, producing a striking three-color effect.

The blooms are expected to persist through late October. Beyond adding vivid seasonal color to the ancient town, the trees help stabilize slopes for local communities.
