At a wind farm in Zunyi, Guizhou province, summer nights are marked by clear skies and an expanse of stars.

Several days of dry weather and very low light pollution have created ideal conditions for stargazing. On nights like these, the Milky Way can be spotted with the naked eye.

The galaxy stretches like a brilliant band across the sky, its countless stars like a river of scattered diamonds.
