The 3rd China Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Protection Annual Conference and the 4th Danzhai Intangible Cultural Heritage Week were held in Danzhai, Southwest China's Guizhou province, from Sept 16 to 21.
This national-level ICH event featured 206 representative ICH projects and gathered more than 500 representative ICH inheritors and experts from 22 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country.
Through displays, performances, high-end forums, and innovative technology experiences, the event showcased the latest achievements in ICH protection in China, while exploring innovative paths for integrating ICH into modern life.
In Danzhai Wanda Village, the 1.5-kilometer ICH block offered visitors lively performances such as Ansa Waist Drum and Yingge Dance, opportunities to experience traditional crafts like Rongchang Folding Fans and Daoming Bamboo Weaving, and a taste of regional specialties including Wuhan hot dry noodles, Leshan sweet-skinned duck and other ICH delicacies from all over the country.
Meanwhile, public squares including Yugong Square, Miao New Year Square, Drum Tower Square, and Jinji Square were transformed into distinctive display and experience areas, presenting the ICH projects to the public in a more vivid and intimate way.
