City Football Invitational Tournament Guiyang 2025 kicks off in Guizhou

The City Football Invitational Tournament Guiyang 2025 is underway in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from Sept 19 to 25.

The Guiyang tournament started a month ago and has received responses from 15 cities, with a total of 16 grassroots teams named after cities participating. It will feature 48 matches across the group stage, knockout stage, and ranking matches.

The participating players are all amateur football enthusiasts, including diverse groups such as government employees, firefighters, and students.

Booths set up outside the Guiyang Olympic Sports Center integrate a supermarket, a show, and an experience hall to showcase the local cuisine and culture of various regions.

Tournament-themed buses, lively roadside concerts, and Guizhou Financial City's dazzling light show are boosting the city's sports excitement. The tournament's partner hotels have introduced football-themed rooms and are offering exclusive event prices, allowing every visitor to experience the unique charm of "Cool Guiyang."

The tournament also introduced several benefits: ticket stubs can be used as discount vouchers for local spending. The organizers are offering one-stop tourism packages that combine "watching games + hotels + scenic spots" and discount deals for "night tour of Guiyang" themed routes, allowing out-of-town visitors to enjoy a more diverse cultural and tourism experience.
