A cold snap coated the red leaves on Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou province with rime, turning the peaks white.

The rare sight of white ice crystals against vivid foliage created a striking contrast and drew many visitors, who rode cable cars to enjoy sweeping views.

A UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, Fanjing Mountain rises to 2,572 meters, retains a largely pristine ecosystem, and ranks among the world's most biodiverse regions at that latitude.
