The 2026 Work Report of the Guizhou Provincial Government was released during the Fourth Session of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, which opened on Jan 27 in Guiyang, the provincial capital.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, Guizhou's regional GDP exceeded 2 trillion yuan ($278.81 billion). General public budget and tax revenue grew at an average annual rate of 4.5 percent and 3 percent, respectively, while the per capita disposable income of residents grew at an average annual rate of 6.6 percent.
The main targets and tasks for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period are to achieve an average annual growth rate of around 5 percent in provincial regional GDP, reaching 3 trillion yuan, with per capita regional GDP exceeding 80,000 yuan.
Guizhou is set to further improve its factor market-based allocation system, optimize the business environment, and enhance domestic and foreign opening-up.
Expected targets for 2026 include regional GDP growth of around 5 percent; growth of around 7.5 percent in the added value of industries above the designated size; growth of around 4 percent in retail sales; growth of around 2 percent in general public budget revenue; and per capita disposable income growth of around 4 percent and 6 percent each for urban and rural permanent residents.
