To celebrate the Year of the Horse, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have planned over 500 Chinese New Year activities.

These include 20 flagship events such as the Guanshanhu Lantern Festival and Temple Fair, the Huaxi Grand Temple Fair, the Longjing Village Gala, the Colorful Guizhou City China Chic Grand Temple Fair, the Gui'an Plum Blossom Season, and special themed events at Jiaxiu Pavilion, Qingyan Ancient Town, and Tianhetan Scenic Area.

As a signature tourism brand, the Guiyang Roadside Concerts will bring music and energy to the holiday at venues including Van Holy, Wenchang Pavilion, Huaxi Park, Kaiyang Yunkai Square, and Colorful Guizhou City. From Feb 17 to 23, Huaxi Park, Qingyan Ancient Town, Tianhetan Scenic Area, and Confucius Academy will host dedicated Spring Festival programs.

Rural areas across Guiyang and Gui'an will come alive with diverse folk traditions. Highlights will include the Dragon Dance Lighting Ceremony in Dongfeng town, Spring Festival couplet giveaways in Shuitian town, the "Taste of Traditional Chinese New Year" event in Yangchang town, and immersive Bouyei ethnic cultural experiences in Pianpo township.

Major commercial districts in Guiyang and Gui'an are embracing the Chinese New Year spirit with integrated "eat, drink, play, and shop" experiences, featuring lion dance parades, appearances by the God of Prosperity, flash mobs, and intangible cultural heritage markets, all accompanied by a variety of consumer promotions.

Public cultural venues will offer a rich lineup of festive activities. Geological Museum of Guizhou and various libraries will host Chinese New Year painting exhibitions, culinary book fairs, and lantern riddle games. Jiaxiu Pavilion and Cuiwei Garden will feature 3D projection light shows and forest garden parties, while local cultural centers offer paper-cutting workshops and life-aesthetic exhibitions.
