Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Group and Pingtang county signed a cooperation agreement on Feb 11 to advance brand marketing and business diversification for the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) scenic area, enhancing the value of Pingtang's tourism resources.
This partnership reflects a shared strategic vision, with Pingtang committed to providing full-service support and working with Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Group to create immersive, experiential, high-quality tourism products.
Together, they aim to boost FAST's reputation as a top choice for study tours, building a world-class destination for astronomy education and a renowned tourism county.
Both parties will utilize their respective resource advantages to deepen cooperation, boost the scenic area's global influence, craft unique travel experiences, expand study tour programs, and enhance the scenic area's core competitiveness.
The goal is to drive the integration of technology, tourism, and science education, helping the scenic area consolidate its existing scientific and intangible cultural heritage resources.
During the signing ceremony, the scenic area unveiled its event lineup for the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, hosting seven signature events from Feb 17 to March 3, including circus shows, intangible cultural heritage bayin (eight-tone) singing performances, parent-child science and culture camps, and Chinese New Year parades.
