The fourth session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Beijing on March 4, with 24 CPPCC members from Southwest China's Guizhou province in attendance.

At the opening meeting, members approved the session's agenda, heard the annual work report of the CPPCC Standing Committee, and received a report on proposal activities since the third session.

This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30). Guizhou CPPCC members expressed their sense of mission, pledging to fulfill their duties conscientiously by aligning with both national and regional development goals. They are committed to submitting thoughtful, practical proposals that contribute a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan and amplify Guizhou's voice in national affairs.

The session, which lasts seven days, is scheduled to conclude on March 11 and will feature opening and closing meetings, two plenary speeches, multiple group meetings at delegates' accommodations, and several sector-specific consultation meetings. Three members' passage interviews will also be held.
