The 20th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference is scheduled to take place from March 29 to 31 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, with an opening ceremony, four specialized activities, and a variety of cultural, tourism, and sports activities designed to showcase the province's tourism sector.
The opening ceremony will be held on March 30 at the Drum Tower Square in Colorful Guizhou City, showcasing Guizhou's smart tourism and AI technologies, unveiling new characters for the "Huangxiaoxi" mascot family, and promoting the "stub economy" (ticket-stub-based rewards) and the "Cool Guiyang top 10 new scenic spots".
The 2026 Performance Economy Development Forum will be held on March 30, with major industry players like the China Performance Industry Association, Damai, and Tencent Music participating. Collaboration agreements will also be signed with performance agencies to introduce high-quality shows to Guizhou.
The 2026 Guizhou Cross-Border Tourism Promotion Conference will be held on March 30, focusing on the inbound market, releasing new policies on international flight subsidies, and helping Guizhou increase international flight frequency and travel convenience.
The 2026 Guizhou Sojourn Industry Investment Promotion Conference will be held on March 31, inviting international associations and top real estate and wellness experts to discuss development paths for Guizhou's long-stay sojourn industry. Highlights will include the release of the "Guizhou Sojourn Research Report" and the "Guizhou Sojourn Map".
The 2026 Culture-Tourism-Sports Integration Development Forum will be held on March 3, marking the establishment of a high-end sports tourism think-tank alliance. It will also see the release of the "Guiyang Sports Tourism Index", premium road trip routes, and new "Hiking in Guizhou" travel options.
