Basketball meets culture: A game inside Guizhou's Fengming Cave

International participants of the 2026 China Storyteller Partnerships gathered with locals at Fengming Cave in Guizhou province for a one-of-a-kind basketball match on March 28. 

Nestled within the karst mountains of Yanhe Tujia autonomous county, Fengming Cave has been transformed into an extraordinary basketball venue as part of China's grassroots sports phenomenon known as "Village Basketball Association". With its towering limestone formations and natural acoustic charm, the cavern provides a unique setting for players and spectators alike to celebrate the spirit of community and cultural exchange through sport.
