Over 800 competitors kick off mountain bike league in Guizhou

Racers battled through tea fields and along a lakeside greenway on Sunday in Yuqing county, Guizhou province, as the mountain bike league got underway.

The opening stop of the 10th "Colorful Guizhou" cycling league drew more than 800 competitors.

The course combined fast flat sections, rolling tea-covered hills and off-road woodland stretches. A 5.8-kilometer cross-country track and an 8-kilometer lakeside route offered sweeping views of the water, mountains and tea plantations.
