The China (Guizhou)-Thailand Scientific and Cultural Exchange Event 2026 was held on June 15 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, with nearly 100 students and faculty members from Guizhou University and Thailand's Chulalongkorn University in attendance.

The event aimed to build a platform for academic, scientific, and cultural integration between Guizhou and Thailand, enabling youth from both regions to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and grow together.

Guizhou University has educated more than 5,000 international students from ASEAN countries, including 3,500 from Thailand. As a provincial hub for higher education and scientific innovation, it has remained at the forefront of China-ASEAN educational cooperation.

The university continues to deepen its educational ties and academic exchanges with Thailand, having established stable partnerships with 22 Thai universities and institutions, and is making every effort to build a world-class talent cultivation base for educational opening-up oriented toward ASEAN.
