The 2026 Jinsha County Hosta Tourism Season kicked off at the Hosta Cloud Sea Scenic Area on June 27 in Bijie, Southwest China's Guizhou province, with over 50,000 mu (3,333 hectares) of wild hostas cascading down the mountain slopes, blanketing the peaks in a sea of purple.

This year, the scenic area has debuted three new attractions. The Banbian Yunxia Yunduan Cafe, located at the viewing platform by the upper cable car station, has become a must-visit spot for visitors, who can sit with a cup of coffee to watch the sunset.

The Yunshang Xingkong Campground offers views of the mountain's four great spectacles: the sunrise, the sunset, the sea of flowers, and the starry night sky. Cabins here feature windows that allow guests to gaze up at the Milky Way at night and fall asleep to the mountain breeze carrying the scent of flowers, making it a perfect retreat for peaceful, nature-infused wellness tourism.

The Kids' ATV Off-Road Club, set up around the high-mountain wind turbine platforms, brings an element of outdoor adventure to families amid the wildflowers.

In addition to these new features, the scenic area also offers a full suite of mountain recreation activities, such as grass sliding, glass water slides, and roller coasters, ensuring an action-packed getaway for thrill-seekers.
