The finals of the 2026 China Brewers Cup Championship commenced on July 16 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. Over 40 of the country's top baristas have gathered to compete, putting their professional skills to the test for the nation's highest honor. This marks the first time the competition has been held in Southwest China.

The competition features compulsory and open service segments that assess competitors' professional standards and creative abilities.

In the compulsory service, all competitors use the same coffee beans, water, and grinding standards. By eliminating external variables, this segment tests their core technical skills, including extraction control and fundamental brewing techniques.

In the open service, competitors can create their own brewing recipes and service routines, pairing their presentation with a stage performance to express their personal coffee philosophy and showcase diverse, creative coffee aesthetics.

Alongside the competition, the "Guiyang Super Gravity Coffee Festival" also kicked off, featuring a lineup of over 60 premium domestic and international coffee brands. Over half of these are local brands, spotlighting the vitality of Guiyang's homegrown coffee industry and the unique flavors of Guizhou-style coffee.

Additionally, three international coffee brands are making their Guiyang debut, bringing global coffee trends and specialty flavors to the city and allowing visitors to experience coffee cultures from around the world without ever leaving home.
