The 8th China-ASEAN Youth Art Education Achievement Exhibition, part of the 2026 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, is underway in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from July 29 to Aug 2.
This exhibition highlights youth aesthetic education with an emphasis on vocational features. It provides a platform for showcasing young artists' creative works from different countries and acts as a key opportunity for domestic and international institutions to collaborate, exchange ideas, and foster mutual understanding.
During the event, students from the Guiyang Women's Vocational School showcase a runway show featuring traditional ethnic costumes that combine Guizhou ethnic patterns with modern styles. At the same time, faculty and students from Thailand's Lampang Rajabhat University perform traditional Thai songs and dances, highlighting ASEAN culture's charm.
Following the cultural performances, Guiyang Hengsheng Senior High School and Thai-Chinese International School signed an international education cooperation agreement to launch teacher-student exchange visits and joint curriculum development.
The Education and Sports Department of Xiangkhoang Province (Laos), Guizhou Shuoxue Education Investment Co, and Haina Tonglian (Qionghai) Comprehensive Service Co have signed a tripartite framework for educational cooperation. This agreement sets the stage for long-term projects centered on Chinese language instruction and vocational training, establishing a foundation for ongoing regular exchanges.
