Autonomous shuttles to debut at Big Data Expo 2026

Following the opening of the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026 (Big Data Expo 2026) on Aug 28, PIX Moving, a local Guizhou autonomous driving enterprise, will deploy 25 level 4 fully autonomous shuttle buses in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Operating along an 8-kilometer loop around Guanshanhu Park, each one-way trip will take approximately 20 minutes. PIX Moving launched trial runs for large-scale operations at the end of April this year.

Five out of the 25 shuttle buses feature KTV-themed cabins, allowing passengers to enjoy immersive karaoke while on the move. The other vehicles are equipped with a range of smart interactive scenarios, ensuring that every journey is full of surprises.

During the expo, PIX Moving plans to employ digital technology to highlight Guizhou specialty foods, boutique coffee, and urban cultural and creative products on its unmanned shuttle buses.

This driverless fleet marks the first time autonomous driving technology has been implemented in Guizhou, demonstrating the province's efforts to promote digital contextual applications. From Aug 28 to 30, visitors will be able to experience this new form of transport firsthand.
