A seminar themed "unlocking data element value and driving high-quality development of the token economy" will take place on Aug 29 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, as part of the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026.
Officials from the National Data Administration, academicians, experts, representatives from high-end think tanks, large-model enterprises, and data service providers will gather to share insights on topics such as theoretical innovation, token factory production, token distribution and consumption, and industry scenario implementation.
During the roundtable dialogue, guests from regions pioneering token economy policies and practical explorations will discuss production, circulation, consumption, and governance, as well as practical pathways for empowering the development of the token economy through "data + scenarios + policies."
The digital economy is transitioning into a new stage of the intelligent economy. As the minimum semantic unit for large models to process information, tokens are evolving from a technical concept into a new economic paradigm. In just two years, China's daily token invocation volume has surged from 100 billion to 140 trillion, making tokens a critical indicator of activity in the intelligent economy.
