Guizhou TV drama premieres in Thailand

The Thai premiere of the Chinese TV drama Deep in the Wumeng Mountains, along with a joint promotion event for Guizhou's culture, tourism, and trade, was held on Aug 26 in Bangkok, Thailand's capital. The drama is set to be broadcast on the Royal Thai Army Radio and Television Station.

"As an important bridge for people-to-people exchanges, film and television play a unique role in fostering mutual understanding, as well as strengthening exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations," said Ni Yang, counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, in his remarks at the premiere.

During the event, the producers of Deep in the Wumeng Mountains signed broadcasting agreements with Thai companies. As part of the joint promotion of Guizhou's culture, tourism, and trade, Thai social media influencers introduced Guizhou's tourism offerings, while participating Guizhou companies presented the province's signature baijiu brands and showcased cultural and tourism resources from Bijie city, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Tongren city, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, and other areas.

The event also featured baijiu tastings and displays of cultural and creative products. In addition, Guizhou tourism companies signed cooperation agreements with Thai travel agencies to further develop tourism products and expand the market for both sides.
