Youth retrace Long March route in Guizhou

Over 300 people attended a "retracing the Long March" launch event on Sept 9 at the Zunyi Conference Memorial Museum in Southwest China's Guizhou province to mark the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, including youth representatives from across the country, descendants of veteran Red Army soldiers, and experts on Party and military history.

After the launch ceremony, representatives set off on a hike along the route the Red Army once took in Zunyi. Over the coming week, they will visit historical revolutionary sites such as Loushan Pass, the site of the Gouba Conference, Qinggangpo, and the site of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River.

They will also tour the Long March National Cultural Park, experiencing and reflecting on Long March history through on-site instruction, revolutionary storytelling, and thematic seminars.

The participants include students, civil servants, corporate employees, educators, entrepreneurs, scientists, tour guides, and volunteers who share a common resolve to honor the revolutionary legacy of their forebears, carry forward the legacy of history, excel in their respective fields to serve the people, and forge ahead on the Long March of the new era.

Now in its third edition, the event has built a strong following among young people nationwide and established itself as a platform for inspiring youth ideals and values.
