Shubladze wins women's singles title at Guiyang Open 2026

Alexandra Shubladze emerged victorious over Ren Yufei in the Guiyang Open 2026 women's singles final on Sept 13 at the Jinyang Tennis Center in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The players traded steady baseline rallies and smooth net transitions in the first set, tying 2:2 after four games. Shubladze then applied aggressive attacks and sharp returns to break serve in the fifth and seventh games, taking the opening set 6:2.

In the second set, Shubitidze maintained her momentum, quickly building a 2:0 lead with an immediate break and hold. Although Ren adjusted her tactics and improved her first-serve percentage, too many unforced errors in long rallies kept her from turning the tide. Down 5:2, Ren put up a gritty fight before ultimately falling 3:6 to finish as the runner-up.

With the conclusion of this final, the entire women's division schedule for this year's tournament has wrapped up. Over the past week, 70 matches featuring fierce offense-defense battles and tactical showdowns showcased the competitive charm and sportsmanship of professional tennis.

In contrast, the men's tournament began on Sept 13, bringing together top tennis talent from home and abroad to compete for the men's singles and doubles titles.
