The 2026 China-Vietnam Youth International Communication Event kicked off on Sept 18 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, with more than 40 experts, youth representatives, and media delegates from China and Vietnam embarking on a five-day journey tracing the memories of the Long March.

To mark the 90th anniversary of the Long March victory, Guizhou – a key hub for the Long March National Cultural Park – is drawing on its rich revolutionary heritage to create a platform for Gen Z youth from both countries to exchange ideas and learn from one another.

On opening day, the delegation visited the Guizhou Long March Culture Digital Art Museum, China's first full-immersion digital experience hall dedicated to the Long March. The museum brings classic Long March scenes to life using cutting-edge technologies like hyper-curved screen theaters, mechanical curtain matrices, and custom-shaped displays.

In the afternoon, they headed to the Zunyi Conference Site to journey through history. From the historic turning point of the Zunyi Conference to the Red Army's maneuvers across Guizhou, the exhibits and archives retrace these crucial events and the army's combat path through the province.

In the following days, they will visit landmarks such as the Four Crossings of the Chishui River Memorial Hall, Tucheng Ancient Town, Guizhou Tyre Co, Yangming Culture Park, PIX Moving, Xiaolanshan Digital Cultural Eco-Village, and Guiyang Nursing Vocational College.

These visits will take them to former revolutionary sites, give them a firsthand look at corporate innovation and specialized vocational education, and let them experience achievements in traditional culture preservation and digital rural development.
