Guiyang and Gui'an introduce National Day culture and tourism activities

Guiyang and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province will roll out more than 100 cultural and tourism activities from Oct 1 to 7 for the National Day holiday, including artistic performances, patriotic-themed events, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, sports competitions, and cultural-tourism consumption.

On Oct 1, a National Day special edition of the Guiyang Roadside Concert will be held at Zhucheng Square, with concurrent events hosted at Wenchang Park and Under Light shopping center. The Guiyang Citizens Symphony Orchestra tour will also visit Machang town in Gui'an.

During the holiday, the Yunyan District Library will host a National Day cultural temple fair, the Nanming District Library will launch a special book exhibition, and the Guiyang Children's Library will host a series of children's reading activities.

Dazzling nighttime spectacles such as the Jiaxiu Pavilion laser show, the Tianhetan fireworks display, and traditional molten iron flower shows will light up the cityscape.

Sports events such as pickleball tournaments and ethnic sports competitions are set to spark a wave of athletic enthusiasm, while pop-up events like coffee festivals, craft beer festivals, and shopping festivals will offer diverse ways for residents and visitors to enjoy the holiday.
