Brazil team wins intl soccer tournament in Guizhou

The 3rd Guizhou Village Super League International Football Tournament concluded on Oct 6 in Guizhou province's Rongjiang county, with Brazil Galaxy United defeating Guangdong Ningzhu Times Gaoyao Chengjun 6:5 on aggregate to claim the championship.

In the 53rd minute, Zhuang Lihuan for Guangdong broke the deadlock. However, just a minute later, Murilo for Brazil Galaxy United quickly equalized. After tying at 1:1, the match went to a penalty shootout, where Brazil Galaxy United edged out their opponents 5:4 to secure the title.

Both teams converted their first four penalty kicks, keeping the score at 4:4. In the crucial fifth round, Brazil Galaxy United's penalty taker slotted the ball home, while the Guangdong team missed their shot, finally sealing the championship outcome.

This tournament marks the first-ever "Cunchao" international cup competition, following the international friendly matches held in 2024 and 2025. Since the opening match on Sept 30, the competition has brought together players from 36 countries and regions, delivering a series of thrilling matches during the National Day holiday.
