The main port area of the Guiyang International Land Port has set a new daily record by hitting 200 railcar loadings, beating its previous peak from earlier this July by 47 percent. This marks the fifth time this year the port has broken its single-day loading record, highlighting a major leap in operational capacity.

Since its launch, the land port has steadily expanded its rail networks, offering regular freight services along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, China-Europe (Central Asia) express routes, the China-Laos Railway, and the Guizhou-Guangdong rail line. It has also partnered with key coastal hubs – including the ports of Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Yantian, Beibu Gulf, and Shenzhen's Shekou, Mawan, and Chiwan ports – to establish dry port operations.

Last year, Guizhou integrated Guiyang Free Trade Zone and the Guiyang International Land Port into a unified "port-zone" platform. Designed as an international transit hub and a primary logistics center for Southwest China, the zone has gained strong economic momentum through the creation of the Guizhou International Cargo Consolidation and Groupage Center.

In its first year of operation, the center has served 18 foreign trade enterprises, handled over 80 types of goods, and generated 3.23 billion yuan ($482.21 million) in bonded imports and exports. Meanwhile, from January to August of this year, the Guiyang International Land Port dispatched 23,178 TEUs – a 53.2 percent year-on-year increase – with 10,802 TEUs transported via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor alone.
