A batch of fresh Yunnan flowers, packed in anhydrous gypsum boxes produced by the Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group, arrived in Mongolia after traveling thousands of kilometers north via a cross-border cold chain.

Throughout the long journey, the boxes showed no signs of moisture, warping, or damage, and the flower buds and leaves stayed fresh and firm. This follows the packaging's overseas debut in Australia, which marked a new milestone.

As perishable items with a tight shelf life, flowers require rigorous packaging that can handle moisture, resist crushing and shock, and keep blooms fresh. The gypsum boxes' moisture resistance easily withstands condensation from temperature shifts during cross-border transit, while their high compressive strength supports multi-layer stacking, minimizing crushing, deformation, and transit loss.

In recent years, the Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group has championed phosphogypsum recycling, launching the world's first pilot production line for anhydrous gypsum masterbatches and hollow-board packaging boxes with an annual capacity of 25,000 metric tons. Estimates show that every ton of phosphogypsum used saves roughly 0.8 to 1.1 tons of timber.

Driven by technological innovation and eco-friendly solutions like these gypsum boxes, the group is supporting the Belt and Road Initiative and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. By helping specialty agricultural goods reach global markets with sustainable packaging, the company is fostering industrial green transformation and boosting the local export economy.
