During the battle against novel coronavirus pneumonia, employees of Guiyang's education system in Southwest China's Guizhou province, especially Party members, volunteered to take part in the city's efforts to prevent and control the virus.

Liu Yan, a Party member from Nanming district's education system, signed up to help the community screen passengers from outside of Guizhou at the Guiyang train station to prevent the spread of the virus.

As this time is the peak passenger season after the Spring Festival holiday, screening at train stations is essential to the virus prevention and control efforts. Liu felt honored to be part of the team and to contribute.

In addition to Liu, the Nanming education bureau organized 70 Party members to support epidemic screening and prevention, while the Kaiyang county education bureau organized 1,000 Party members and teachers to collect information regarding the health conditions of residents at communities from 8 am to 12 pm every day.

During the extended Spring Festival vacation, Guiyang teachers are offering online courses, courseware, and guidance to students. Officials of Guiyang's district education bureaus have checked the epidemic prevention supplies on campus, as well as collected information regarding teachers' and students' travel plans.

All schools, kindergartens, and training organizations are required to check the location of teachers and students, as well as thoroughly sterilize the facilities.
