Guizhou, Argentina's Jujuy discuss education cooperation

Southwest China's Guizhou province and Argentina's Jujuy Province held a video meeting on March 31 to discuss cooperation on Spanish-language education.

Wang Xiaohua, head of the office of international exchanges and cooperation at Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, said at the meeting that Guizhou and Jujuy can start with co-cultivation of Spanish-language talents, carry out Spanish-language major programs and establish Spanish-language training and practice bases.

Guizhou University of Finance and Economics will conduct research on poverty-alleviation to support Guizhou and share its latest research achievements on poverty reduction and rural revitalization with Jujuy's universities.

After in-depth discussion, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics and the National University of Jujuy reached cooperation intentions for big data application training and Spanish-language training and exchanges.

Guizhou and Jujuy became friendly provinces back in 2018. Last year, Guizhou donated medical supplies to support Jujuy in the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
