A delegation of nearly 30 teachers from seven Macao universities, recently visited historical sites in Southwest China's Guizhou province related to the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Pang Chuan, head of the delegation and president of the Macao association for the promotion of higher education, said the trip would help Macao's university teachers to learn more about the 100-year history of the CPC.

At a memorial hall in Xishui county, where the Four Crossings of the Chishui River battle took place, delegate Xing Zhihong said she felt the hardship of the Long March and would share the experience with her students on her return.

Born and raised in Macao, delegate Liu Zhenzhao had already learned about the CPC's history from textbooks. However, he said this visit allowed him to follow in the footsteps of the revolutionary martyrs and the hard-won victory of the Chinese revolution.
