The 11th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo will be held in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on Sept 9-12.

The expo will have an online exhibition for imported alcoholic beverages, baijiu, wine, beer, fruit wine, yellow rice wine and integrated alcoholic beverages, among other things.

Eight on-site exhibition areas covering 80,000 square meters with 2,500 stands will also showcase boutique alcoholic beverages, materials, technologies and various related equipment – as well as tourism and cultural products.

The expo will include – apart from the opening and closing ceremonies – a wine industry development summit, an exhibition economy development forum, activities for guests of honor and trade negotiations.

There will also be new alcoholic product releases, online sales, wine culture lectures and a carnival for wine and food.

First held in 2011, the expo has become one of Guizhou's most important international events and a wine expo that showcases the province.

According to one of the exhibitors at this year's expo, it will provide a platform for the global wine industry and related industry chains to do business, as well as boost commerce between the domestic and international wine industries.
